then click on a month.
now you have a unique opportunity, you can click on and download and hear past Journey recordings!

now, when you listen to these things, you will notice two things: they sound pretty rough.
but do not fret because of this. the reason they sound bad is because the recording is taken from a direct line from the PA system. the PA system has each person mixed to sound great in the Journey room. listening to that mix anywhere else will sound bad because the ambient sounds from the room are missing.
a few things that are represented accurately are timing, tone and pitch. most of the vocals come through on the recording well, so this gives a vocalist a great opportunity to evaluate all these parts of their sound and find ways to improve. same with a few other instruments.
do keep in mind that if there are wonkey parts, the recording will make them sound even worse then they really were. if you hear your part and it sounds bad, do not let it get you down!!! it did not sound so obvious live. use it as a learning experience.
Each Journey service is usually uploaded so check this website a few days after each Journey and give it a listen. you can learn a lot!
p.s. there are some really funny parts! Dev and I just listened to Joseph repeating lines with the vocoder. it was AMAZING!!!! I almost wet my pants 'cause it was so funny. . . .in a good way. . . :)
