ERB Creed

Commitment of Stewardship
En Route Band is a ministry completely wrapped around the pursuit of experiencing God through worship.  There is a huge amount of responsibility that comes along with this goal as we are called to lead God’s church in worship.  Whether we are leading in a small youth group, a conservative church, a youth rally, camp meeting, or a large adult worship service, our call to excellence and a heart of worship is exactly the same.  There are four common areas that all worshippers involved with En Routes ministry -whether a sound tech, musician, or a singer- should be attentive to in their service:

1 Commitment to Christ
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20.  Members of En Route should embrace this creed in their way of thinking and in making lifestyle decisions.

2 Commitment to Christian growth in fellowship
Band members should participate in regular spiritual growth groups such as a small group, youth service, or school chapel.  Each member needs to be connected to other believers for a source of moral and spiritual accountability.

3 Commitment to musical excellence
From the time the Bible was written, to the time of classical composers, to now, churches have always employed professional musicians to make music and praise God.  As a member of En Route you are carrying the torch and continuing this beautiful expression of worship.  Do it well!

4 Commitment to each other
A group of people, united to do a certain thing, has huge potential!  We are a group of students, united to worship God and to lead others in worship of Him as well.  It is a beautiful and holy thing!  When we encourage each other, build each other up, and therefore empower each other, we will be a tighter team, able to create a safe place for each of us to worship.
